Competitive intelligence
Competitive intelligence for the decisions AI makes about your market
A competitive intelligence platform for the recommendation moment. The GetRanked Algo runs competitor intelligence on the answers your buyers receive: Competitor Capture names the businesses recommended in your place, Competitor Radar profiles them, and Decision Trace prints the reason each assistant gave. Tracked competitors are re-read on the ongoing plans, where Recommendation Delta measures which answers you gained and lost between two comparable readings.

Competitive intelligence has always been built around one question: what are our competitors doing. Pricing moves, launches, hiring, positioning, share. That question is still worth asking, and the disciplines that answer it are mature.
A second question has appeared beside it, and most intelligence stacks were not designed to answer it. What are AI systems concluding about this market, and which businesses are they telling buyers to choose. When a buyer opens an assistant instead of a search engine, an answer is written for them, a small number of businesses are named, and a shortlist exists before anyone has visited a website. That is a decision layer, and it sits between your market and your buyer.
GetRanked AI measures that layer. It reports which businesses the assistants put forward across the questions your buyers actually ask, the reasons and sources behind those answers, how the picture moves between comparable readings, and what to change first. The purpose is not a dashboard. It is a defensible view of where the recommendation is being lost, so a budget decision can be argued from evidence rather than from instinct.
A second question for a competitive intelligence function
What rivals are doing, and what AI concludes about them, are two different intelligence problems.
The first question is about behaviour and is observed directly. The second is about judgement, and it is only observable by asking the systems doing the judging and reading what comes back. A competitor can change nothing at all and still start winning answers, because the material an assistant leans on shifted somewhere else entirely.
That is why this layer is rarely covered by an existing stack. Rank data describes pages, share-of-voice data describes coverage, and neither reports the outcome that a buyer now sees first: a short answer naming two or three businesses, with everyone else absent from it.
Treated properly, that outcome is an intelligence asset. It is measurable, it is repeatable, and unlike most competitive signals it maps directly onto a commercial consequence.
The recommendation landscape of your market
The unit of analysis here is the buyer question rather than the keyword. For each question a prospective customer would put to an assistant, there is a set of businesses the answer puts forward, and your business is named in it, absent from it, or one of several.
Read across the whole set, that becomes a landscape: which businesses hold which parts of the market's questions, where a category has a default answer, and where the answer is still contested. For a leadership team the pattern is usually more informative than any single answer, because it shows whether a weakness is broad or confined to one service line, one location or one kind of customer.
The competitive substance is evidence, not visibility
Two businesses can be equally well known and still get very different answers.
An assistant builds its answer out of what it can establish and what it appears to trust. So the meaningful comparison between you and the business being recommended is rarely about who publishes more. It is about what could be established about each of you, and which independent sources corroborated it.
This platform reports that difference as evidence: the stated reasons behind each recommendation, and the sources the assistants leaned on, including whether your business appears in those sources at all. Evidence differences are the part of the competitive picture you can act on directly, which is what makes them the right basis for a spending decision.
Movement, measured like for like
A single reading tells you where you stand. Intelligence needs the second reading, because the useful facts are directional: which answers you gained, which you lost, and whether the distance to the businesses AI names is closing or widening.
The measurement is versioned, and comparisons are made between comparable readings rather than between two differently shaped ones, so a movement is a movement rather than an artefact of a changed method. Movement of this kind belongs to the ongoing plans, because it needs more than one reading. The monthly plans are listed on the pricing page but are not open for self-serve purchase yet, and the recurring re-check is not switched on. What you can buy today is the free scan and the one-off report.
From a rival dossier to a ranked business response
Each business the answers put forward gets a dossier: what it appears to do better in the eyes of the assistants, and how you compete with it on the strength of what those answers actually said. That is the difference between knowing a rival is winning and knowing the argument being made on their behalf.
The reading then ends where an intelligence product should end, in a decision. The fixes are ranked, the first three are called out, and each is tied to the evidence that argues for it, so the output is a sequence of moves with a reason attached rather than a list of observations for somebody else to interpret.
The deepest self-serve layer, and what is open today
The plans are arranged as a ladder of questions. A one-off report answers where you stand. Monitoring is designed to show what changed, Growth to refresh the reasoning behind the change, and Professional is designed as the deepest self-serve competitive layer: the widest set of tracked competitors, refreshed competitive response and a re-ranked set of priorities. Enterprise is the same scope taken across an organisation, by contract.
Being plain about the current state matters more than the ladder. The monthly plans are listed on the pricing page but are not open for self-serve purchase yet, and the recurring re-check is not switched on. What you can buy today is the free scan and the one-off report.
What this platform focuses on, and what it does not claim
The focus is AI recommendation competition. That narrowness is the point.
This is not an attempt to replace every form of competitive intelligence software. It does not do advertising intelligence, social listening or app-store tracking. It is not a market-data terminal, and it is not a general website-change monitor: it does not keep watch over a competitor's pricing page, product launches or changelog, and it does not send real-time alerts the moment a rival changes their website.
There is no unlimited list of rivals either. Each plan tracks a set number of competitors, and the numbers are on the pricing page. Nor is there a promise about what any assistant will say, which nobody can offer.
What it does instead is measure one thing properly: the recommendation, and the evidence behind it. Teams that already run advertising, social and market-data tools keep them. This covers the layer those tools were never built to see.
What you get
The parts of the report that do this work
The map of which businesses get put forward for each buyer question, and where you are named, missing, or one of several.
The landscape itself: which businesses are put forward across the market's buyer questions, and where you are named, missing or one of several.
In the Professional AI Report.A dossier on each rival the assistants put forward: what they appear to do better, and how you compete with them.
A dossier per rival the answers named, covering what they appear to do better and how you compete with them.
Dossiers in the Professional AI Report; researched readings of tracked competitors on the ongoing plans. The reasons each assistant gave, in its own words, for recommending whoever it recommended, and the sources it leaned on.
The stated reasoning behind each recommendation, which is what makes a competitive finding arguable in a meeting rather than assertable.
In the Professional AI Report.Which sources the assistants cited, how often, whom those sources favour, and whether your business appears in them at all.
Which sources the assistants leaned on, whom those sources favour, and whether your business is present in them at all.
In the Professional AI Report.Which answers you gained and which you lost between two comparable readings, so movement is measured like for like rather than guessed.
The directional half of the intelligence: what was gained and lost between two comparable readings, measured like for like.
Needs two comparable readings, so it belongs to the ongoing plans rather than a single report. The fixes ranked, with the first three called out, each tied to the evidence that argues for it.
The point of the exercise: the market picture reduced to a ranked set of moves, each tied to the evidence behind it.
In the Professional AI Report, and refreshed each month on the Professional plan.Where this sits
One reading now, and the questions that come after it
Each rung answers a different intelligence question, and the deeper rungs are about what happens after the first reading rather than about anything withheld from it.
One deep reading: who the assistants recommend instead of you, why, which sources they trusted, and what to change first.
Designed to show movement: whether the gap to the businesses AI names is widening or closing.
Designed to refresh the reasoning and the sources behind the movement, not only the direction of it.
Designed as the deepest self-serve layer: the widest set of tracked competitors, refreshed competitive response and a re-ranked set of priorities.
Everything in Professional, scoped to the organisation, by contract.
The monthly plans are listed on the pricing page but are not open for self-serve purchase yet, and the recurring re-check is not switched on. What you can buy today is the free scan and the one-off report. Tracked competitors are capped per plan at 3 on Monitoring, 10 on Growth and 25 on Professional. Full detail is on the pricing page.
Narrow by design
A narrow instrument, pointed at one decision
GetRanked AI is not an ad-spy suite, a social listening platform or a general market-monitoring product. It is built around a narrower and more commercially important question: who an assistant puts forward when your buyer is deciding. That focus is the product, and these are its boundaries, stated so nobody buys it expecting something else.
- No continuous surveillance of a competitor's pricing page, product launches or changelog.
- No real-time alerts when a rival changes their website.
- No advertising intelligence, no social listening and no app-store tracking.
- No unlimited competitor list: each plan tracks a set number of competitors.
- No guarantee about what any assistant will say, because nobody can offer one.
GetRanked AI is building towards a broader layer of customer-specific competitor intelligence around the recommendation landscape, connecting movement in the answers to the competitive change that appears to explain it.
Professional is designed to become the deepest self-serve layer of that intelligence as those capabilities expand.
Questions
Straight answers
What does GetRanked AI mean by a competitive intelligence platform?
It means intelligence about one specific competitive arena: the recommendations AI assistants make when a buyer asks who to use. The platform reports which businesses are put forward across your market's buyer questions, the reasons and sources behind those answers, how the picture moves between comparable readings, and which fixes to make first. It is a narrow arena, deliberately, and it is measured rather than estimated.
We already run competitive intelligence tools. Where does this sit?
Beside them, covering a layer they were not built for. Advertising intelligence, audience listening and market-data tools observe what competitors do and say, and GetRanked AI does none of those things. What it measures instead is what AI systems conclude about your market and whom they recommend as a result. Most teams keep what they have and add this for the recommendation moment.
Does it watch competitor pricing pages, launches or advertising?
No. This is intelligence about the recommendation, not surveillance of a rival's website. It does not track a competitor's pricing page, product launches, changelog, adverts or social channels, and it does not send an alert the moment a rival changes something.
How many competitors can we cover?
The businesses the assistants name are covered without you listing them first, because the report reads the answers and names whoever appears where you could have. Tracking specific named competitors alongside that is a plan feature with a set limit per plan, published on the pricing page. There is no unlimited list.
Is the measurement consistent enough to report to a board?
Yes, and that is the reason it is versioned rather than ad hoc. Every reading shows the question asked, the answer that came back and the sources cited beside it, so a finding can be inspected rather than taken on trust, and movement is only reported between comparable readings.
Can it tell us where to spend next quarter?
It gives you the ranked input to that decision. The fixes come out prioritised, with the first three called out and each tied to the evidence that argues for it, which turns a competitive picture into a defensible sequence of moves. The commercial judgement is still yours to apply.
Can you guarantee our business will be recommended?
No. Nobody can guarantee what a model will say, and providers change their systems without notice. What is within your control is the material those answers are built from, and what this measures is whether that material is currently doing its job.
What can we actually buy today?
A free scan, which is a smaller reading and is labelled as one, and the one-off Professional AI Report for a single website. The monthly plans are listed on the pricing page but are not open for self-serve purchase yet, and the recurring re-check is not switched on. What you can buy today is the free scan and the one-off report.
Who inside a business gets the most from this?
Whoever owns the decision about where marketing spend goes. The output is written to be read by an operator or an executive rather than only by a practitioner: a market picture, the evidence behind it, and a ranked response, with the underlying answers available underneath when someone wants to check the working.
