Agency buying guide

AI visibility tools for agencies

Agencies need per-client evidence a client can read. This guide sorts the tools by the job, including which run competitor intelligence per client site on the rivals AI names instead, with claims taken from each vendor's own pages on a stated date.

The short answer

Which tool should you choose?

If you need one login covering many client sites, look at the platforms that publish an agency operating model. Peec AI lists unlimited client workspaces with no per-seat fees, isolated client projects and white-label Looker Studio templates. Goodie AI lists pitch workspaces, isolated client workspaces, custom branding and a single agency dashboard. Profound describes managing every client brand through one central portal, and AnswerRank sells an Agencies plan with a scheduled session with a human AI search expert.

If your agency already sells SEO retainers, the suites are the cheaper route to a client-ready deck. Semrush lists white-label reports, scheduled email reports and shareable exports on its AI Visibility feature page. SE Ranking sells an Agency Pack add-on covering unlimited scheduled reporting and AI summaries. AIclicks lists unlimited websites from its second tier upwards plus an agency partners programme, and Otterly AI's agencies page says there is no dedicated agency subscription and that pricing is on request.

GetRanked AI approaches the agency problem from the other end, and the difference is worth understanding before you shortlist. It is not a monitoring dashboard you install a client into. It produces a verdict per client website: whether the assistants recommend that client, which rivals took the answers instead, the reason each assistant gave and the sources behind it. Those rivals are found in the answers rather than configured by you, which matters most on a client you have just taken on and do not yet know the landscape for. It is bought per client website with no cap on how many, and the team plans carry multiple client sites and seats, with agency plans in development. Two things to be straight about: white-label report branding is not switched on today, and the monthly plans are listed on the pricing page but are not yet open for self-serve purchase.

Start here

Measure the outcome before you choose a tool

Agencies need two things a business owner does not: many clients in one place, and evidence a client will accept. Several platforms here are built for exactly that and price accordingly.

What agencies are increasingly asked for, though, is a straight answer to one client question: does AI recommend us? Share-of-voice dashboards are hard to present against that question and easy to argue with.

A per-client recommendation reading with the evidence attached is a better artefact for that conversation, and it does not require the client to be onboarded to a platform first. Run one and see. Where GetRanked AI differs is the competitor intelligence: the GetRanked Algo names the businesses the assistants recommended in your place through Competitor Capture, builds a dossier on each with Competitor Radar, and prints the reason and sources with Decision Trace, all from the answers themselves rather than a list you supply. Staying ahead is the ongoing half: tracked competitors are re-read on the ongoing plans and Recommendation Delta measures which answers you gained and lost between two comparable readings, so you can see whether the gap to the businesses AI names is widening or closing. Those plans are listed on the pricing page and are not open for self-serve purchase yet.

The category

What an agency actually needs from an AI visibility tool

An agency has a different shopping list from a brand. A brand needs one accurate view of itself. An agency needs the same measurement repeated across many client websites, kept apart from each other, and turned into something a client will read without a training session. The tools split roughly along those lines.

Client separation comes first. Some vendors describe isolated client workspaces, some price by tracked prompts and let you spread them across projects, and some simply allow more websites on a higher tier. Reporting comes second: white-label exports, scheduled reports and connectors into a reporting stack you already run. Evidence comes third, and it is the part clients argue with. When a client asks why a rival is being named instead of them, an answer needs the sources behind it, not a line on a chart.

Repeatability and pricing come last, and they interact. Prompt-metered platforms get more expensive as you add clients, because every client consumes prompts and models. Per-brand pricing is predictable but scales linearly. Agency add-ons and partner tiers sit somewhere in between. Read each vendor's per-plan limits before you build a retainer price around them.

One caution about language. GEO and AEO are used loosely across these vendors and are not standardised disciplines with an agreed method, so two products claiming the same label may measure quite different things. Judge the tool by what its pages say it measures, not by the label above it.

Client workspace
A project kept apart inside one account so a client's data, prompts and reporting stay apart from other clients.
White-label reporting
Exports and scheduled reports an agency can present under its own branding rather than the vendor's.
Prompt metering
Pricing based on how many tracked prompts and models a plan runs, which is what makes most trackers scale by client count.
AI Recommendation Intelligence
GetRanked AI's term for measuring whether assistants recommend a specific business to its prospective customers, who they recommend instead, and what evidence was missing.

How we evaluated

What we looked at, and what we did not

We read each vendor's own website on the date shown and recorded what it advertises for agencies: workspaces, reporting, client separation, published prices and per-plan limits. We did not run paid trials of every product and we do not give scores. Where a vendor's pages do not mention a capability, the table says "not publicly advertised", which is not a claim that the capability is missing.

Agency terms move faster than public pricing pages. Several vendors publish agency detail on a separate page from their main pricing, and some quote agency tiers without currency amounts, so confirm your own terms before you price a retainer.

  • Principal purposeWhat the product is built to do, in its own terms.
  • Recommendation outcomeWhether it tells a business that AI recommends it, rather than counting mentions.
  • Starts from your businessWhether you can begin with your website instead of building a prompt project.
  • Recommendation GapWhether it shows the buying questions where a business could be named and is not.
  • Competitor CaptureWhether it names the businesses the assistants recommend instead.
  • Competitor discoveryWhether competitors surface from the answers, or must be known and added first.
  • Evidence CoverageWhether it shows which sources shaped the answer and what was missing.
  • What to do firstWhether it produces a prioritised list of things to change.
  • Plain-English verdictWhether the output is a decision a business owner can act on, not only analytics.
  • Try before committingWhether a business can learn something real before paying for a subscription.
  • Traditional SEO suiteKeyword research, rank tracking, site audits, backlinks.
  • Keyword researchA keyword database and research workflow.
  • Backlink databaseA link index and link analysis.
  • Content productionWriting, briefs and on-page optimisation.
  • Technical auditingCrawling and technical site health.
  • Multi-client dashboardsManaging many sites or clients in one place.
  • Enterprise integrationsAPIs, warehouses and BI connectors.
  • Prompt managementBuilding and maintaining a tracked prompt set at scale.
  • Intended customerWho the vendor says the product is for.
  • Public pricingWhether prices are published, so a buyer can size a plan before a sales call.

Peec AI

AI visibility trackerRead 4 September 2026

Full comparison and sources

Peec AI is AI search analytics: prompts tracked daily against named competitors with visibility, position and share of voice, plus source analytics that classify each cited source and rank by a Gap Score where competitors are cited and the brand is not. Its agencies page describes unlimited client workspaces with no per-seat fees, isolated client projects and white-label Looker Studio templates. An MCP flow posts a plain-language summary of each client's visibility into Slack and compares it with the previous period.

Fits: Agencies that want one operating model across many clients and a reporting layer they can drop into a client's existing dashboards.

Worth knowing: Agency tiers are shown in credits and prompt counts on a separate page without currency amounts, and the main plans were displayed in euros when checked.

Semrush

SEO platformRead 4 September 2026

Full comparison and sources

Semrush is a full SEO platform with an AI Visibility toolkit that tracks mentions, citations and recommendations across AI platforms, with sentiment and cited media. Prompt tracking caps, website counts and keyword limits are printed on every plan card. The AI Visibility feature page lists white-label reports, scheduled email reports and shareable exports.

Fits: Agencies that already report on rankings and want AI answers in the same monthly deck, with per-plan limits they can size before a trial.

Worth knowing: Prompts are chosen from a database or entered by the user, so the view is of a prompt set rather than of one client's own buyers.

SE Ranking

SEO platformRead 4 September 2026

Full comparison and sources

SE Ranking combines rank tracking, keyword research, audits and backlinks with an AI Search Toolkit that monitors brand mentions and links in AI answers. Separate trackers are listed for AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and the AI Visibility Tracker page says results are retrieved through direct monitoring of the AI engines' interfaces. The Agency Pack add-on covers unlimited scheduled reporting and AI summaries.

Fits: Agencies wanting search and AI visibility in one subscription with agency reporting bought as a priced add-on rather than a tier jump.

Worth knowing: The Agency Pack, the AI Search toolkit and the API are all add-ons priced apart from the base plan, and prices were shown in pounds to a UK visitor.

Goodie AI

AI visibility trackerRead 4 September 2026

Full comparison and sources

Goodie AI describes itself as a full-stack answer engine optimisation platform running research, monitoring, action and measurement as one loop, with a monthly quota of optimisation actions on every plan. Brand Command asks whose story wins the recommendation instead of yours. Its agency side lists pitch workspaces, isolated client workspaces, custom branding and a single agency dashboard.

Fits: Agencies that want to pitch with a short-lived client workspace and then run the delivery work in the same platform.

Worth knowing: Full client workspaces are billed separately on a brand plan, and the billing cadence of the agency Growth plan differed between two reads of the pricing page.

Profound

AI visibility trackerRead 4 September 2026

Full comparison and sources

Profound is an answer engine optimisation platform that tracks brand presence across several named engines, more than thirty languages and more than one hundred and fifty regions, then hands findings to briefs and content agents that draft and publish into a connected CMS. Its agencies page describes managing every client brand through one central portal. Plans are sized on prompts, engines, agent credits and seats.

Fits: Agencies running cross-engine, multi-market programmes where the content execution matters as much as the measurement.

Worth knowing: Pricing is shown yearly-billed and a month-to-month rate was not visible on the pricing text checked, with the agency-scale tier described for large companies and agencies and quoted on enquiry.

AnswerRank

AI visibility trackerRead 4 September 2026

Full comparison and sources

AnswerRank tracks how often a brand appears in AI answers, benchmarks it against chosen competitors and adds a human AI search expert plus content built to earn visibility. Its changelog describes per-project prompt libraries, per-prompt cost tracking, competitor visibility in exports, a Google Sheets connection and a read-only API. The Agencies plan raises prompt and competitor limits and adds enterprise support and API data access.

Fits: Smaller agencies that want an entry price to test the service on a few clients, then a named agency tier with expert time attached.

Worth knowing: Pricing lives on the homepage rather than a pricing page, and the pricing URL did not load on the day checked.

AIclicks

AI visibility trackerRead 4 September 2026

Full comparison and sources

AIclicks tracks AI visibility across ten or more platforms, identifies the sources driving citations and turns the data into a ranked action list with agents behind it. The homepage FAQ says you see the full AI answer behind every data point and that prompts run through the platforms' own interfaces rather than APIs. Unlimited websites appear from the second tier upwards, and an agency partners programme is listed.

Fits: Agencies wanting a low entry price per client with the underlying answers visible when a client questions a finding.

Worth knowing: A yearly toggle advertised a discount but no yearly figure was captured, and agency services are priced apart from the software.

GetRanked AI

AI Recommendation Intelligence

See pricing

GetRanked AI is AI Recommendation Intelligence: one clear verdict per business, across as many websites as you run. Enter a client's website and it measures how leading AI assistants respond when prospective customers are looking for a business like theirs, then reports an AI Trust Score, the Recommendation Gap, Competitor Capture and Evidence Coverage with a prioritised list of fixes. For an agency it is a per-website report, bought per client site.

Fits: Agencies that want a defensible evidence layer for one client conversation, a pitch or a scope document, without asking the client to learn a platform.

Worth knowing: There is no multi-client workspace, white-label reporting or agency dashboard, and ongoing monthly plans are listed on the pricing page but are not yet open for self-serve purchase.

The buying question

Which of these is built around the recommendation outcome?

Read from each vendor's own pages on the date shown on its comparison page. "Not publicly advertised" means the pages we read do not mention it, not that the capability is absent.

Which fits which buyer

Match the tool to the situation

Peec AI or Semrush

An agency reporting to many clients every month

Peec AI publishes unlimited client workspaces with no per-seat fees and white-label Looker Studio templates. Semrush lists white-label reports and scheduled email reports beside the SEO data you already send. Pick on whether your deck is AI-only or search plus AI.

For the client conversation, a per-client recommendation reading with the evidence attached is easier to present than a share-of-voice chart.

Goodie AI or AthenaHQ

An agency pitching AI visibility to win the work

Goodie AI lists pitch workspaces that run for seven days across the top three models. AthenaHQ's agency page describes pitch-ready workspaces, central client management and partner tiers by brand count. Both are built for the moment before the contract is signed.

Run one free scan on a client site before onboarding them to anything: it is a faster answer to the question they actually asked.

SE Ranking or Semrush

An agency that already sells SEO retainers

Adding an AI line to an existing subscription is usually cheaper than a second platform. SE Ranking prices an Agency Pack and an AI Search add-on separately from its base plans; Semrush carries AI Visibility lines with a daily prompt limit on the plan cards themselves.

Keep the platform for the roster, and use a GetRanked AI report as the evidence layer per client.

Profound

An agency running one programme across client brands

Profound's agencies page describes one central portal across every client brand, with cross-engine and multi-region monitoring and content agents attached. It suits an agency selling a programme rather than a monthly report.

For the client conversation, a per-client recommendation reading with the evidence attached is easier to present than a share-of-voice chart.

AnswerRank or Otterly AI or AIclicks

A small agency testing the idea on a few clients

All three publish low entry plans you can put on a single client before committing. Otterly AI's agencies page says there is no dedicated agency subscription and that terms are on request, so ask early if client separation matters to you.

Run one free scan on a client site before onboarding them to anything: it is a faster answer to the question they actually asked.

GetRanked AI

An agency that needs evidence for one client conversation

Buy one Professional AI Report for that client's website and use it as the evidence layer: whether the assistants recommend them, who is named instead, and what the assistants could not find. It is bought per website, and the client can read it without you translating a dashboard.

Where GetRanked AI differs

Built for the moment a customer asks AI

AI Recommendation Intelligence is our term for measuring whether the assistants recommend one business when its customers are looking for one.

Evidence a client can argue with

Competitor Capture names the businesses the assistants recommend instead of your client, and Evidence Coverage shows what the assistants could and could not find about them. That is the part of a pitch a client tends to push back on.

No platform for the client to learn

The report is written in plain English for the business owner, so it works as the brief you hand over rather than a dashboard you have to walk someone through.

Nothing to configure per client

You do not curate prompts or name competitors in advance for each client website. The report is produced from the client's own website.

Bought per client website

A free scan and a one-off Professional AI Report for one website, with no seat count to manage. Ongoing monthly plans are listed on the pricing page but are not yet open for self-serve purchase.

Questions

Questions buyers ask about this category

Which AI visibility tool is best for an agency?

It depends on which agency problem you are solving. For many client workspaces in one login, Peec AI and Goodie AI publish agency operating models. For white-label reporting beside SEO, Semrush and SE Ranking. For one portal across client brands, Profound. For a named agency plan with expert time attached, AnswerRank. This page sorts them by those jobs rather than ranking them.

Does GetRanked AI offer white-label reports or an agency dashboard?

No. There is no multi-client workspace, no white-label reporting and no agency dashboard. An agency buys one Professional AI Report per client website and uses it as the evidence layer and the plain-English brief for that client.

How do agencies pay for this across many clients?

Most of the trackers meter on tracked prompts and models, so cost rises with client count, while Goodie AI prices per brand and adds separate agency plans. GetRanked AI is bought per client website: a free scan and a one-off report, with ongoing monthly plans listed on the pricing page but not yet open for self-serve purchase. Size a retainer against the published per-plan limits before you quote.

Can I resell a GetRanked AI report to a client?

The report is written for the business it covers, so agencies typically buy it for a client website and present it alongside their own recommendations. It is not branded as your agency's own document, because white-label output is not part of the product today.

What should an agency check before buying an AI visibility platform?

Check four things on the vendor's own pages: whether client projects are kept apart, whether reporting can carry your branding, whether the evidence behind an answer is visible when a client challenges it, and how the plan meters as you add clients. Several vendors publish agency terms on a page separate from their main pricing.

Do any of these tools guarantee AI will recommend a client?

No. Nobody can guarantee what a model will say. Every tool here measures and reports; earning the recommendation is still the work, and that is what the agency is being paid for.

How did you evaluate the tools?

We read each vendor's own pages on the date at the top of this guide and recorded what they advertise against nine buyer-relevant criteria. We did not give scores and we did not run paid trials of every product. Where a page does not mention something, the table says not publicly advertised.

Why is GetRanked AI in its own comparison?

Because we own this site and you should know that before you read the table. GetRanked AI sits in the table under the same criteria as everyone else, including the honest answer that it has no agency workspace, and every comparison page linked here carries the sources.

Can an agency use GetRanked AI alongside a tracker?

Yes, and it is a sensible pairing. Keep a tracker or an SEO suite for the ongoing client programme, and use a GetRanked AI report on a client website when you need the recommendation moment measured and the competitor named.

How current is this guide?

The vendor pages were read on the date shown at the top. Agency terms, plan limits and prices change often; confirm on the vendor's site before you buy or quote.

Sources and trust

Every third-party claim on this page comes from the vendor's own website, read on the date shown, and is repeated with its sources on the linked comparison page. Nothing here is a paid placement and no vendor has been scored. Where GetRanked AI does not do something an agency needs, this page says so.

Vendor sources for every product on this page are listed on its comparison page: Peec AI, Semrush, SE Ranking, Goodie AI, Profound, AnswerRank, AIclicks.

What this guide deliberately leaves out
  • Agency tier prices for Peec AI and AthenaHQ: both publish agency terms in credits, prompt counts or partner tiers without currency amounts, so no agency price is quoted here.
  • Otterly AI agency terms: its agencies page says there is no dedicated agency subscription and that pricing is on request, so nothing further is stated.
  • Per-client seat and permission detail for most vendors: seat counts appear on some plan cards and not others, and permission models were not described consistently enough to compare.
  • Any ranking or score across vendors: these products solve different agency problems and we did not test them all under one protocol.
  • Reseller margins, partner commissions and referral terms: not published on the pages read for most of these vendors.
